Americans own millions of acres of wild forests, streams, prairies, deserts, and wetlands. From mountain peaks to lush green valleys, America’s wild heritage is one of the greatest things about this nation.
However, it seems this Congress doesn’t see it that way. In fact, since last year, the 112th Congress has mounted an unprecedented siege on America’s wild places. More than a dozen pieces of legislation aimed at selling off, opening up, and digging into our wild places have been introduced from drilling the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to closing off parts Glacier National Park.
America’s natural heritage isn’t drill rigs and strip mines, but the 112th Congress is dead-set on making it that way. Sign our petition, and tell Congress to defend, not destroy, our wild America.
